Coaching, like life, is sometimes contradictory and this episode of The Transforming Anxiety Podcast is a good example of using complementary but opposite practices in an effort to get to know yourself better.
This week we're talking about worry and I'm introducing you to 2 practices:
- Worry Time
- Worry Vacations
Intentional worry time is where you schedule worrying ahead of time in a deliberate, planned way. You let yourself go all in during worry time, let your mind go wild. Get it all down and out on paper.
Worry vacations are when you take a break from worrying. You kindly and gently redirect your mind whenever you find it gravitating towards worry. Unmanaged minds like to worry, so this has to be a consistent practice.
And there's a Worry Worksheet (that sounds fun, doesn't it?). Grab your downloadable worksheet by clicking here...this will walk you through a few steps to support you in practicing both worry time and worry vacations, so that you can 1) understand your mind and worry a little bit better, and 2) find the best way to support yourself when your mind keeps gravitating towards worry.
And let me hear from you! Comment below, send me an email, or connect with me on social media. I’d love to keep the conversation going with you, yes YOU, between episodes.
Don’t forget to join me on Facebook live every Wednesday morning at 11am CST and come say “hi” over on Instagram…
