You know that voice in your mind, that constant chatter, that ticker-tape of ideas and judgments and opinions that goes on all day every day?
Most of us are so used to that voice because well, it's always been there. We haven't questioned it. We haven't challenged the stories it tells us. We sometimes don't even really pay attention because well, we know it's not going anywhere.
All of those sentences in your mind, all of those images up there? They're all just thoughts.
And I don't know about you, but sometimes my messy human mind gives me a flurry of not-so-helpful thoughts to think.
But, turns out, we can think thoughts on purpose. And practicing thoughts you WANT to be thinking, well, that changes the flavor of what your mind prattles on about, even when you're not consciously practicing.
This week on the podcast, I'm sharing with you a whole bunch of my favorite thoughts to think.
These are thoughts that I think on purpose. These are thoughts that I put into my mind intentionally. These are thoughts I like to practice...
Sometimes when I'm talking to a client and I challenge them to think about a certain situation or person differently, they feel completely blocked. They're sure they have come up with ALL of the thoughts they could possibly be thinking. They've told me everything they can find in their minds.
Yup. I've been there.
And that's why it's handy to have a list of ready-to-go thoughts that reframe things, give you perspective, and put you back in control. So I made a guide for you that lists ALL of the thoughts I suggest in this week's podcast episode. You can grab your guide to my favorite thoughts by clicking here.
Add to this! Make it your own. Keep a running list going so that when you find yourself feeling stuck, you don't have to get resourceful and creative in that moment. You can refer to this list of thoughts and find your way back to your highest self.
And let me hear from you! Comment below, send me an email, or connect with me on social media. I’d love to keep the conversation going with you, yes YOU, between episodes.
