Changing Your Mind About Anxiety

There are lots of things we want to change in our lives. How we're feeling, how we're acting, or maybe an end result that we're seeing for ourselves. Whatever it is we want to change, ultimately it comes down to this: we have to change our minds.

I know we like to be right. We pick being right over being kind; we pick being right over apologizing for something that didn't go well; we pick being right over learning and growing. Our brains *love* it when we're right.

But when we stop being obsessed with being right, we open up our minds to possibility, to change, to everything we want.

Think about it like this: if you're right, then you must have everything you want in your life. All of your wildest dreams must be coming true right now.

No?

Well then, there's something in your life you need to change your mind about. If you were right, you'd be enjoying the results of your biggest goals. If you were right, you'd be standing on top of the mountain of your biggest accomplishment, shouting for all to hear. If you were right, you'd be exactly the person you want to be, doing all of the things you want to be doing.

So, you can be right, or you can be rich. You can be right, or you can lose weight. You can be right, or you can be healthy. You can be right, or you can feel better...
