How are you this week, my friend? We've made it to December (!)...and this year that's no small thing. This ongoing pandemic is taking a toll and I just want to take a quick moment here to say: yay, you're doing it! Well done you. π
Sooooo, in light of the end of the year, the holiday season, and (again) an ongoing, soul-sucking,uncertainty-generating global pandemic, I thought it might be helpful to focus on family anxiety together this week.
And this isn't all about holiday get-togethers! Oh no...this one is for ALL the family fun: phone conversations, birthday celebrations, annual traditions, and general familial expectations.
Because: there is no shortage of anxiety re: family stuff. #universaltruth
Some key things we'll cover in this episode of The Transforming Anxiety Podcast include:
Letting people be exactly who they are
Dropping the Normal Rockwell expectations
Triaging the event / people attending
Questioning how "we've always done it"
Remembering: this is YOUR experience, too
I tell ya, the sooner we accept that not all families look rosy and fun, the sooner we find freedom. Letβs explore some family anxiety and move closer to freedom this week, yeah?
