Folks, we’ve reached the conclusion of the introductory 4-part series, “What is Anxiety?”! I wanted to launch this podcast by setting a foundation for where we’re going; and since we’re going to be doing some serious work together in the coming weeks and months, I knew these first 4 episodes had to answer the most fundamental questions we have around anxiety.
Today, we’re talking about the goal around anxiety. We have some solid definitions and understanding of anxiety (episode #1), and we’ve explored your personal triggers (episode #2), and last week we talked about escape and how that never ever works (episode #3). Which kinda begged the question: well, what is the goal with anxiety then? I’m glad you asked.
In this week’s episode, I talk through why I named the podcast The Transforming Anxiety Podcast in the first place, all of the cycles and contrast that we see in life (and how that relates to our emotions and anxiety in particular), plus the importance of telling a new story where anxiety is concerned. This is such important work.
This week’s downloadable worksheet is SO GOOD, so you’re going to want to grab it by clicking here. The worksheet starts where the episode leaves off, goes even deeper with the story we’re telling about anxiety, and makes this specific to * you *. You’ll want to have this worksheet handy as soon as you finish listening.
