“Just sit down and meditate!”
How many times have we heard this advice?
And how many times has that actually helped when you’re feeling anxious?
This week, we’re going into the next Lifestyle element, this is part of my 3-pillar system for Freedom from Anxiety.
Now, I love meditation and truly believe that meditation is a powerful tool that any and every body can benefit from. But, folks, there’s a time and a place. And when you’re feeling actively anxious? Yeah, that’s not the time nor the place to pop a squat and try to clear your mind of thoughts and meditate. That’ll pretty much never work.
What will work is breath work. And in this week’s episode of The Transforming Anxiety Podcast, we’re going to explore it all. How and why breath work is so powerful and effective when you’re feeling actively anxious, the appropriate time and place for meditation, aaaaand I’ve got something really special for you this week! I made two recordings for you: a guided meditation and an audio that walks you through three different breath techniques, all designed to help you find relief from anxiety.
You can get free access to those recordings here.
Next week we’re going to explore relationships and anxiety…it’s going to be a GREAT episode, so stay tuned for that.
Don’t forget to join me on Facebook live every Wednesday morning at 11am CST and come say “hi” over on Instagram…
