*It* being: more time for cooking, more quality time with your lover, more hours on your mat, more yes's to things you want hard (and more no's to things that smack of obligation or guilt),

I've had hundreds of conversations on stress, worry, and anxiety. As a coach and a yoga teacher, these are the commonest of the common topics. And I've noticed that people who are really mired in these emotions feel as if they have no control where stress, worry, and anxiety are

Our brains come up with a ridiculous number of thoughts every day. It's almost obnoxious, really. And without giving it any thought or attention, it's assumable that these thoughts are created by *us* personally: that our stream-of-subconscious inner talk is a product of who we are.

You may:

- have a meltdown, scream at a loved one, walk out, flip him off...

- misspeak, have kind intentions but shitty execution, be overly tired or stressed or distracted and forget something...

My mind reels at the notion that there is only one path in any situation. That you would have to say yes, stay the course, keep on keepin’ on.

But when we’re used to something, in a rut, doing what is expected, feeling obligated, familiar,

We all want all sorts of things: the first million, the lover, the corner office, the couture, the convertible, the condo in the mountains. And we go around wanting and acknowledging others’ wants and understanding wanting from the perspective of our kids, friends, family. We fuel want.

When something is perceived to be lacking, there's one unequivocal way to create the scanty something-something. This tricky little paradox is the only way.

Whatever you sense to be missing is the exact thing you’re not bringing.

Guilt is not valuable, it only serves the ego...

There are 2 universal sparks for guilt:

1 - you didn't act from love

here are some thoughts that we have thought over and over and over... We have amassed evidence that supports these thoughts. These thoughts have started to seem true. They’ve crossed over into a new territory called...beliefs.
